Day 41: I used to procrastinate, but now I work ahead.

Day 41: I used to procrastinate, but now I work ahead. Here’s what happened... ⁣

When I procrastinated I felt like I was doing my self a favor by putting it off until another day. I tended to get comfortable with putting something together last minute and praying that it was good enough. ⁣

What I came to realize was that I was only causing myself so much anxiety and stress and what I was really doing was hurting my opportunity for growth. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣

I started working ahead. Taking care of things as if the deadlines were that day. Knowing that I still had time to improve but also that not starting won’t get me anywhere.⁣ ⁣ ⁣

When we procrastinate we lose the time we could’ve spent preparing our best. Whether it is for a school deadline, a side project, or making time to start something new, the longer we wait to start, the longer it’s going to take to get better at doing it. ⁣

I’m challenging you to start today! What ever it is that you’re procrastinating, start the process with a leap of faith. Know it’s better to get it done sooner rather than later. ⁣

Don’t be like the old me who used to procrastinate. Be like the me you see above who’s chilling in the pool because she has already finished the deadlines she wanted to accomplished for this week, so now she’s relaxing. ⁣
