Tiara Talk with Miss Georgia: Queen-like Confidence
On March 12th, ten young girls, some with their mothers who were still a bit shy, came together to sit at a table to ask questions related to confidence, self-love, and faith during a local event called "Tiara's and Pajamas Talk". Each girl had the opportunity to ask Miss Georgia, questions while learning how to maintain a queen- like confidence through hands-on fun activities.
"One of my passions is to inspire the next generation" says the owner Nyla Chieré. "Thanks to Althea Springer, an active leader of Life Church, I had the opportunity to do so at the “ Tiara’s and Pajama's” party.".
Examples of those activities included, making a vision board, creating DIY message bracelets, and stenciling affirmations onto craft paper. These were designed and implemented in place to encourage the young girls to think about their future and to understand that they are uniquely beautiful.
Along with engaging in fun activities, the girls also listened to a short speech given by Nyla which shared a personal message about being beautiful in America as a black girl. "My goal was to make the girls realize they're worth and accept themselves as beautiful, despite what society tells them.".
